Mardy
I taught in a local secondary for seven years and now tutor online and in-person. I’m happiest helping students polish language papers and plan literature essays (Macbeth is my favourite). I’ll set short, realistic homework and we’ll mark it together so you can see what examiners want. We can also drill unseen poetry and the 19th-century extract. AQA/Edexcel.

Ronnie
Maths tutor in Leeds, working solely on GCSE. I’m usually with Year 10–11 students who feel fine until the algebra gets messy. We’ll do timed sets, fix the bits you keep dropping (fractions, rearranging, graphs), and build a simple checklist for each topic. I use a shared whiteboard and send a one-page recap after each session, not a giant worksheet dump. Higher or Foundation, both fine, and I know AQA and Edexcel formats.

Christine
I’ve supported pupils in small-group intervention classes and I still love the ‘human body’ units most — especially infection and immunity. If you’re juggling lots of content, I help you trim it into revision cards and quick diagrams, then we practise the required practical questions exactly like they show up in papers. No buzzwords, just marks.

Colton
I started tutoring while working in a lab, so I’m big on getting the basics right: moles, bonding, and those tricky calculations. Lessons are practical and question-led: we’ll work through past-paper style problems, write proper 6-mark answers, and keep a running ‘common mistakes’ list you can revise from. I also teach how to use the equations sheet without panicking. AQA or OCR.

Archie
I teach GCSE Physics in Sheffield and I’m the person who actually enjoys electricity. I’ve helped students who are great at the maths but lose marks on explanations, and vice versa. We’ll mix short teaching bursts with plenty of exam questions, focusing on forces, circuits, and required practical write-ups. I’ll show you how to set out calculations so method marks don’t disappear, and how to quote units properly under time pressure.

Gwyn
I’ve mentored KS4 coding clubs and I build lessons around what you’re coding right now — Python basics, trace tables, and making algorithms readable. We’ll also tackle paper topics like networks and cybersecurity with quick quizzes. If your programming project feels overwhelming, I’m good at turning it into a weekly plan you can actually finish.

Louis
I’m a bit of a sources nerd, so we spend time on how to pull inference and provenance marks without waffle. I’ve coached students on Medicine Through Time and Cold War units, and I’ll help you structure 12- and 16-mark answers with a repeatable plan. I’ll also share the essay introductions I teach so you stop losing easy focus marks, plus a timeline trick for remembering key dates.

Danny
I worked as a fieldwork instructor before tutoring, so I’m great for rivers, coasts, and interpreting OS maps. We’ll practise case studies so they’re specific (not generic ‘in a city’ answers), and I’ll show you quick ways to hit command words in 6- and 9-mark questions. I set small map/graph drills between sessions to keep skills sharp, and I’m big on getting the geography vocab exactly right.
